Orthotics

Benefits

Orthotics provide structural support for your feet and assist with pain management by:

  • Reducing tissue strain (e.g. plantar fasciitis)

  • Reducing bone/joint deformities (e.g. bunions, hammer toes)

  • Reducing bone/joint deterioration (e.g. osteoarthritis)

Our Approach

At Sole Train we handcraft your custom orthotics with care, pride, and love too! All the steps, from casting your foot, to shaping the orthotic, to applying the comfortable fabrics and covers, are performed by hand in our lab.

With the information gathered from your initial assessment, we know exactly how to tailor each orthotic to your feet and footwear. We can even create innovative orthotic designs when necessary! This way, you get optimal results to keep you moving with ease, support, and comfort!

The steps we follow:

  1. We perform our detailed pedorthic assessment and cast your feet (45-60 minutes)

  2. We craft your orthotics in our in-house lab

  3. We meet with you again with the finished orthotics to make sure they’re comfortable, and fit in your footwear! (15-30 minutes)

Pedorthic Assessment

  • Time: 45-60 minutes

  • Please bring workout shorts (this helps us examine your gait and feet)

  • Please bring all footwear you wear regularly, frequently, or that you suspect are causing you pain or discomfort

Cost

$450 for orthotics + $115 for a pedorthic assessment

The above costs include:

  • Initial pedorthic assessment (up to 60 minutes), fabrication, fitting, and one follow-up

  • Adjustments to orthotics or their fit

Please note:

  • HST is not applicable to these fees if orthotics are purchased

  • Complex cases could be subject to additional charges

Talk to your insurance provider to inquire if you have coverage for orthotics.

Turnaround Time

Two weeks

By making the orthotics in-house, we can more easily transfer the knowledge from the assessment to the final product. We offer rush orders at a fee for emergencies or to meet time demands.

Durability

How long your orthotics last depend on usage. For many, they can last close to two years without noticing reduced support.
